Our Chiropractors at Nambour specialise in treating conditions of the neuromusculoskeletal system. This means, we assess, diagnose and treat all conditions related to the nerves, muscles, bones and joints in the body. Many people incorrectly think that Chiropractic is for bones and joints, whereas Physiotherapy, which we also have at our clinic is all about treating muscles. Again, both of these statements are incorrect. We feel it would be more accurate that Chiropractic treats primarily (although not exclusively) the spine and related muscles, joints and tissues, with a particular emphasis on spinal adjustments or manipulations.
As a Chiropractor it is our job to ensure our patients have a healthy nervous system and spine to maintain health, prevent disease and dysfunction.
Your spine acts as a communication pathway. Messages are sent via the nervous system from the brain down the spine and out to every cell, tissue and organ. The stresses and strains of daily life can cause the nerve messages to become obstructed this therefore causes a break in the communication pathway causing our body to function incorrectly, cause pain and decrease spinal motion.
